Music Ninjas is the brain child of Kate Holbrook. A mum of two (a very energetic boy and a super sassy girl). Having qualified as a piano teacher through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at the Royal Northern College of Music and having run a successful music teaching business for over 20years, I realised there was a gap in the market for 'fun' music lessons in schools.
Music lesson have a reputation for being boring and staid. So Music Ninjas is here to break the mould, with inspiring games and music to ignite your childs love for music and learning.
The piano is a tricky instrument to learn - you're using both hands, feet and trying to read music all at the same time! Here at Music Ninjas we want to make learning fun. As you embark on you musical adventure you will unlock your super-power to realise the positive impact music can have on your life.
Music improves your concentration and memory. It enhances your ability to concentrate - you could say it makes you smarter!
Music theory and piano playing all involve problem solving whether that's figuring out your finger positions, interpreting the music or being creative.
Participating in lessons develops your communication. Understanding 'how' you are learning, reviewing your performances through self analysis provides personal growth and confidence.
Learning an instrument takes time and effort. It builds resilience overcoming challenges and creates a discipline with regular practice.
With both hands playing at the same time and your fingers playing different keys simultaneously, learning the piano enhances your hand-eye co-ordination which is useful in all areas of life.
Learning the piano enables you to understand how music influences us in everyday life. How it can support us on a daily basis releasing the ' happy hormones' that support and bolster our mental health.
